TRAINEESHIPS

We hand select students who portray leadership qualities for our Leadership Program. Students in our Leadership Program may have the option of participating in a government recognised traineeship when they turn 15 years of age. Upon successful completion of our traineeship, students will obtain a nationally recognised qualification.

Sharpe Dojo, formally known as Sharpe Kids Karate was founded in 2014. We are a friendly, family run dojo and between us we have over 75 years experience in Martial Arts. We are passionate about training and empowering our students through the study of Martial Arts, helping them to gain fitness, awareness, self confidence, respect for themselves and others, focus and a positive mental attitude.

Children’s Karate Classes

Due to your child’s age specific developmental requirements we have individual classes for 3-4years, 5-6 years, 7-9 years and 10-15 years. We also have beginners and intermediate classes.

Our teaching methods are designed to provide a positive environment where your child will learn self defence, self confidence, discipline, respect, patience, focus, goal setting, balance and social skills.

We reward your child for their efforts inside and outside Sharpe Dojo – not just their physical abilities, we do this via our honorary black belt program. Our goal list sheet which is part of our honourary Black Belt Program is used as a tool to develop good habit at home and school. We provide personal attention, cater to the needs of every child and offer a caring environment where your child can grow strong in mind and body

Adults Karate Classes

Although karate is a fighting art we are a Martial Arts Dojo not a fighting gym. We cater for the needs of every student and we offer a safe and friendly environment to learn, keep fit and make new friends.

LADIES ONLY KARATE CLASSES

Prefer to be in a ladies only environment? We have that covered too. We offer a safe and controlled environment in which you can learn with other like minded ladies.

FIT KICK (ADULTS) COMING SOON

This is a martial arts based circuit fitness class. Kick, punch and exercise yourself to a better you. Get fit and have fun with other like minded people.
